Scientific activities

 

At present the department has 1 doctor of science and 12 candidates of science.

In 1991, Andriy Feshchenko defended his thesis for the degree of candidate of technical sciences on February 20, 2014, specializing in "Quantum-electronic devices" on a topic related to the detection and visualization of sources of thermal radiation.

In 1994, Oleksandr Zakora defended his thesis for the degree of Candidate of Technical Sciences on February 20, 2014, majoring in "Weapons and military equipment" on a topic related to the identification and analysis of sources of thermal and radio radiation."

On February 11, 2004, Dmytro Sokolov defended his thesis for obtaining the scientific degree of Candidate of Technical Sciences in the specialty 05.01.01. "Applied geometry, engineering graphics" on the topic: "Geometric modeling and identification of the run-in result according to the scheme of the planetary mechanism."

On June 30, 2005, Volodymyr Kokhanenko defended his dissertation and obtained the scientific degree of candidate of technical sciences in the specialty 05-22-20 "Operation and repair of means of transport" on the topic: "Development of methods for diagnosing internal destruction of automobile tires in operating conditions."

On February 13, 2008, Larisa Borisova defended her thesis for the degree of candidate of legal sciences in the specialty 12.00.09 "Criminal process and criminology, forensic examination" on the topic: "Transnational computer crimes as an object of forensic research."

On March 28, 2013, Serhii Rahimov defended his thesis for the degree of candidate of technical sciences, specialty 05.26.01 "Occupational safety" on the topic: "Ensuring the safety of life at workplaces with increased heat radiation."

In 2013, Vitaly Sobyna defended his thesis for the degree of candidate of technical sciences on the topic "Rational coverage of given areas with geometric objects with variable characteristics."

In June 2013, Oleksandr Kovalev defended his thesis and obtained the degree of candidate of technical sciences in the specialty "Environmental safety" on the topic of his dissertation research: "Increasing the environmental safety of ash dumps of industrial energy enterprises by extracting and utilizing vanadium compounds from waste."

In 2014, Volodymyr Sadkovy defended his thesis for the degree of Doctor of Science in Public Administration with the specialty 25.00.02 "Mechanisms of Public Administration" on the topic: "Unification of mechanisms of state management of professional training of civil defense personnel in Ukraine"

On June 25, 2015, Ihor Neklonskyi defended his thesis for obtaining the scientific degree of Candidate of Military Sciences with the specialty 21.07.05 "Service and combat activities of law enforcement forces" on a topic related to issues of cooperation between the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and the National Guard of Ukraine in liquidation of the consequences of emergency situations.

On March 18, 2016, Dmytro Taraduda defended his thesis for the degree of Candidate of Technical Sciences on February 21, 2003, with the specialty "Civil Defense" on the topic: "Prevention of emergency situations at the facilities of the military-industrial complex with ammonia refrigeration plants."

On March 22, 2016, Maksym Dement defended his thesis for the degree of Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences with the specialty 13.00.04 "Theory and methodology of professional education" on the topic: "Formation of the readiness of the future officer of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for professional activity in modern conditions."

In August 2023, Andrii Melnychenko defended his thesis for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in the field of knowledge 26 "Civil Safety" with the specialty 263 "Civil Safety" on the topic: "Mathematical and methodical support for forecasting the chemical situation in accidents with the release of dangerous gases."

Areas of scientific research:

Assessment of the risk of a fire-hazardous situation at oil product storage and transportation facilities.

Scientific support for service and combat activity of organizational systems during the liquidation of emergencies.

Assessment of fire risks during the operation of railway tanks with damage of the "dent" type.

Formation of the calculation base for the load-bearing elements of emergency rescue, engineering and fire-fighting equipment.

Development of algorithms and software for calculating conditions of electromagnetic compatibility of radio communication equipment in emergency situations.

Employees of the department carry out research works on the order of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

Every year, more than 20 students of higher education work at the department in the scientific society.
